Hi Team!

It seems like yesterday I was writing my first Fin Talk of the season. It's hard to believe we have less than a week left! Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated and cheered on our swimmers! It's been a great-white season! With less than a week left, we have A LOT going on!!  The Championship Packet will be emailed to you by Coach Maliah. Please read it cover to cover. It is a lot of information you need before arriving on Monday.

Last year, the league started a fundraiser, "NSSL Duck Race." We will participate again in this endeavor. Basically we sell ducks via a QR code and we get to keep a good portion of the proceeds. The team that sells the most ducks wins more. Please see the attachment to learn more about it and to participate.

SUNDAY: Pasta Party, 1:00-3:00. This is our pre-champs hype party!  We will make posters to hang in our team tent, paint finger nails, temporary tattoo applications and eat a lot of pasta! We will also go over the Champ Packet and answer any questions.  Volunteers should arrive at 12:00 pm to help set up and stay until 4:00 or until it's clean.  *I'm still collecting for our 7 jawesome coaches end of the season gift. SHARK-A-THON: Last day to turn in money to be eligible for top prizes is Sunday, 7/19.  If it's more convenient to Venmo your pledge money, you can send it to @Amy-Sharpshair, 513-673-0639. Please add "S-A-T" in the comments.

MONDAY: Morning session: The facility opens at 7:00 am. The meet starts at 9:00 am. We will begin with Event 13!! Coach Maliah sent the warm up schedule earlier this week. 6 & unders are Timed Finals. They will not return on day two.

MONDAY: Afternoon session:  The facility opens at 1:45. The meet starts at 4:30 pm. Coach Maliah sent the warm up schedule earlier this week.

Admission fee for spectators is $5.00, cash only. A combined Session 1 & 2 admission bundle is $8.00, cash only.  Everyone, even volunteers need to have a wristband to enter the pool area.

Team area:  Parents, you may set up your chairs around the perimeter of the tent, leaving the shaded center for the swimmers. Parents are welcome to bring their own pop up tent. We will have tarps laid out under the tent. Bring something for your swimmer to sit on, ie, towel, blanket or sleeping bag. Please make sure you help your swimmer keep their area clean. 

Tips for staying cool: portable fans, cooling towels, ice packs and a lot of water

Eat a nice breakfast/lunch or bring it with you. Pack healthy snacks, fresh fruit. Bring something for your swimmer to do in between events, books, sketch pad, card/board games, etc. Pack sunscreen and bug spray.

What NOT to bring: Pets, football/any balls. 

We have done a great job filling the league assigned jobs! THANK YOU!!  We only need Water Distributors, 3:30-5:30 & 5:30-7:00. You will be given a cooler of water bottles to hand out to coaches, officials and timers. Distribute water once every 30 minutes, return to the tent. EASY JOB!! Sign ups are still open, please fill the openings! 

ALL swimmers in the morning session will be gathered and escorted to the Clerk of Course. If you will be under the tent, we will need you to help GATHER in the morning session!  Morning session swimmers need to have their LAST NAME, First Name & age group written on their RIGHT shoulder. This helps identify the correct swimmers when lining them up in Clerk of Course. 

TUESDAY: Day Two - FINALS - Facility opens at 10:45 am. The meet begins at 1:30 pm. Admission: $5.00, cash. Everyone, even volunteers need to have a wristband to enter the pool area. Do not leave the meet without checking with your coaches. Your swimmer might be in a relay.

TUESDAY: POST CHAMP PARTY:  El Rancho Grande, Sharonville, 7:00 pm. We have the upper party room reserved! Coaches will have our trophy from Championships. We will toast to a great-white season! Separate check will be provided.

THURSDAY: Awards Night, 7:00 pm-10:00 pm. Meet in the old gym. We will hand out awards, have cake and dismiss at 8:00 to go swimming under the lights. All family members are invited to join in the fun!
